Students, reporters, and others use RCA Digital Voice Recorders to record lectures, interviews, and meetings. Several models of RCA Digital Voice Recorder, including the RP5022B and RP5120, save recorded audio as VOC files.

You can transfer VOC files from a Digital Voice Recorder to your PC. To do so, connect your recorder to your PC via a USB port. Then, drag and drop the VOC files from your recorder to a location on your PC.

How to open a VOC file

You can use RCA Digital Voice Manager (Windows) to open VOC files and play the audio they contain. To do so, open the program and use its navigation window to navigate to your VOC file's location. Then, double-click the file to play it.

How to convert a VOC file

You can use RCA Digital Voice Manager (Windows) or DEVOC (multiplatform) to convert VOC files to the .WAV (WAVE Audio) format. On Mac and Linux PCs, you must manually compile DEVOC before you can run it.
