A1: Why is CMGion discontinuing the PowWow Instant Messaging product?

After careful review of CMGion's business objectives and strategic direction by its new management team CMGion feels that the PowWow technology is not an integral part of CMGion's mission.

A2: When will the service be terminated?

The target date for terminating the service is currently set at January 19th, 2001.

A3: What will happen to the PowWow Communities once the PowWow service is terminated?

The PowWow Communities will be shut down at the same time as the PowWow service.

A4: Does CMGion believe in the future of IM?

CMGion believes that instant messaging technology will continue to evolve into an important Internet service. CMGion supports interoperable technologies and open communications.
